When I joined this organization a little more than two years ago, I heard stories of faithful donors helping children and youth around the world for decades — even half a century.
Similarly, we had staff committed to our mission for five, 10 and 20+ years. Our goal for the years ahead was a natural progression: we wanted to help more children and young people of all faiths. That meant continuing to provide access to education — inside and outside — the classroom, so kids could stand up and advocate for their futures, empowering generations to come.
Today, that plan comes to fruition, as we (re)launch as Children Believe. We also celebrate the deployment of our new website and a renewed commitment to breaking down barriers so 800,000 (and growing) children, youth and families can continue to access education.
Take a minute to browse through our revitalized, interactive website. Although we may look a little different, we’re proud of our 60-year history, and our core principles from Christian Children’s Fund of Canada remain — we continue to be inspired by Christ’s love and compassion.
I encourage you to (re)discover us through my favourite pages at childrenbelieve.ca:
We’re thankful to our supporters for joining us on this journey. We want to make this as real for them (and you) as it is for the bright-eyed, energetic, shy, hopeful, smart, happy, (extra)ordinary children we help. We hope we have.
Stay tuned as I continue to share monthly blogs about how we’re working with our global community of donors, peers, governments, academics — and the children and families we help — to help accomplish the United Nations’ global goals for creating a better world by 2030.
Support our mission to help more children today.
Drop me a note at the email above to continue this conversation or start a new one; I’d be delighted to hear from you.
