Science supplies inspire and empower children in Ghana

Watch to see how an entrepreneur’s electrical kit helps students learn about engineering

A young entrepreneur is on a mission to ensure students in Ghana can pursue their dreams of becoming scientists and engineers, and we’re inspired by his results, which are shown in the BBC video below.

Charles Ofori Antipem created a science set the size of a textbook full of electrical supplies, which he’s sold to schools across the African country. Students are getting hands-on experience, rather than reading a textbook; some have even made inventions.

“This is not just about solving the problem in education, we’re also committed to creating employment,” Antipem explains.

We love this, because Christian Children’s Fund of Canada is committed to breaking down barriers so children can access education and pursue their dreams.

You can help by providing school supplies. Visit our gift catalogue today.
