What’s her role and connection to the cause?

Christelle served as our sponsorship manager in Burkina Faso for more than five years, before leaving the organization and returning as country director in 2018.

In her time away, she held leadership roles at international organizations in Burkina Faso, working with key stakeholders in development, the non-governmental agency sector as well as the donor community. Today, Christelle leads strategic growth, program development as well as international and domestic partnerships in our West Africa offices in Burkina Faso and Ghana.

Since July 2020, she has been chairing the Board of Directors of the SPONG (permanent secretariat of NGOs) on behalf of Children Believe.

What academic work set her up for success?

The director earned her bachelor degree in foreign languages/English and masters certificate translation/interpretation from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. She also received her masters in project management from Institut Africain de Management in Senegal.
