What’s his role and connection to the cause?
Dr. Feleke Tadele brings diverse experience, having worked in senior positons at CARE, HelpAge International, Oxfam and Save the Children in the Horn of Africa and countries of the former Soviet Union.
In 2015, he joined our team, leading strategic growth, program development, international and domestic partnerships as well as day-to-day operations as our country director in Ethiopia. Then, in 2019, he moved to Canada to take on his current role.
As the director of program effectiveness and resource management, Feleke oversees global program alignment, grants-compliance management and knowledge-sharing.
What academic work set him up for success?
Feleke has a PhD in development studies, a master of arts in social anthropology and a bachelor of arts in applied sociology. He’s served as a research fellow at renowned universities in the United Kingdom and South Africa, taught university master courses and has had two books and more than a dozen technical papers published in globally accredited journals.
