What’s her role and connection to the cause?

Kali is an accomplished fundraiser with a history of delivering results and cultivating donor relationships to exceed campaign goals, ranging from $1 million to $50 million.

Throughout her careers at Plan International Canada and WE Charity, Kali exceeded targets and established successful giving teams through keen leadership and effective end-to-end discussions with engaged donors across North America. She has a record of improving donor retention and reactivation, thanks to her donor-centric approach.

At Children Believe, Kali is accountable for the development, planning and implementation of fundraising strategies for the major-giving portfolio. Kali builds relationships with current and prospective Children Believe donors to cultivate, solicit and steward transformative gifts. Her goal is to drive sustainability and greater impact in the communities we serve.

 

What academic work set her up for success?

Kali holds a specialized honours bachelor of arts from Toronto’s York University and a master of arts from Hamilton, Ont.’s McMaster University in history.

More recently, she completed a post-grad certificate in corporate communications from Seneca College and a non-profit leadership for impact certificate from the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies.

 

Interesting tidbit

Kali’s heart for kids and youth extends to her personal life where she is a member of the MLSE Foundation Game Changers executive committee, a network raising funds and awareness to empower youth through sport.
