What's her life's work?
Karen Fonseth-Schlossberg is CEO of DASCH Inc., a Winnipeg-based non-profit organization delivering 24-7 residential and outreach programs to individuals with intellectual disabilities. A recognized expert in the non-profit sector, she has extensive experience in corporate and Board governance, strategic planning, insurance, risk-management, finance, government relations, standards and policy.
Deeply entrenched in community work, Karen was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Today, she is National Chair of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation of Canada, director of the DASCH Foundation and a director at Calgary’s Safe Haven Foundation.
What academic work set her up for success?
Karen is a Harvard Business School alumnus having graduated the HBS General Management Program in 2015. She received her ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Business.
Interesting tidbit
Karen and her children love horseback riding and travelling to remote non-traditional areas to experience new cultures.
