What’s his role and connection to the cause?
Currently, Mike serves as Chief Marketing and Development Officer for Children Believe where he leads domestic fundraising, marketing, communications and public relations. He brings 20+ years of experience leading and managing digital transformation.
Mike joins us most recently from Compassion International, where, as Global Digital Experience Director, he led the global digital team. He transformed the marketing team into a customer-centric team by bringing technology, data, and marketing together to deliver strong digital and data-driven results. In his role as Global Marketing Operations Sr. Director and VP of Marketing Solutions for World Vision, Mike implemented new digital tools, increasing revenue growth, and improving cross-functional collaboration within both the Canada and International marketing teams.
Beyond his experiences in the INGO sector, Mike held senior roles in sales and technology. He also operated an independent marketing consulting agency and served as an Executive Pastor. Mike is an accomplished professional dedicated to driving innovation and efficiency, nurturing high-performing teams, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
What academic work set him up for success?
Mike is a lifelong learner and believes learning is more about our journey than our CV. Focusing his BA in Business and Education at Redeemer University and Brock University, Mike has since continued working towards other certifications in Operations, Scaled Agile Leadership and Digital Operations.
