Since 1987, Children Believe Ethiopia has partnered with communities to remove barriers that prevent children from learning, staying safe, and building vibrant futures. Today, we work across 87 communities , reaching more than 426,000 children, youth, women and men through child-centered, family-focused, community-led programs.

Strong foundations. Lifelong learning.

We strengthen Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and primary education systems so children build confidence from the earliest years. Our approach combines infrastructure, teacher training, inclusive education and crisis-responsive learning continuity.

Climate Change

Children Believe Ethiopia has progressively embedded climate resilience and environmental sustainability across its programming, recognizing the deep interconnections between environmental degradation, child vulnerability, and community well-being.

Building on global commitments and national priorities, we strengthen community resilience by promoting climate-smart livelihoods, advancing disaster risk reduction, and expanding child- and youth-focused climate education.

Through large-scale training initiatives, nature-based solutions, water system rehabilitation, and support to climate-resilient agriculture, we enhance household adaptation capacities and safeguard environmental resources in both development and humanitarian contexts.
